Ford Motor Company has unveiled one of its latest innovations, the Ford Latitude AI, a new feature that combines cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence to improve vehicle performance and enhance the driving experience.
Ford has announced the establishment of Latitude AI, a new fully-owned subsidiary that would oversee the company’s efforts to build a hands-free, eye-off, autonomous driving system. The corporation rehired around 550 staff from Argo AI, the autonomous car operator that was closed down last year when Ford discontinued its funding.
Latitude AI will be headquartered in Pittsburgh, which was formerly home to Argo AI and has developed in recent years as a hub of AV research and companies. Other engineering hubs will be established in Dearborn, Michigan, and Palo Alto, California. In addition, the corporation will oversee and operate a highway-speed test track in Greenville, South Carolina.
The Ford Latitude AI is an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) that leverages machine learning algorithms and big data analytics to offer predictive features that help drivers navigate through challenging road conditions with ease. The system uses data from sensors, cameras, and radar installed in the vehicle to analyze the environment and provide real-time feedback to the driver.
One of the most impressive features of the Ford Latitude AI is its predictive cruise control, which adjusts the vehicle’s speed based on the road ahead. This feature uses machine learning algorithms to predict the speed limit, curves, and inclines on the road, allowing the vehicle to maintain a safe and comfortable speed at all times. The predictive cruise control also adapts to changes in traffic and can adjust the vehicle’s speed accordingly.
Ford Latitude AI also has an automated parking system, which uses cameras and sensors to detect available parking spaces and park the vehicle automatically. The system can also detect obstacles and alert the driver in case of any potential collisions.

Ford Motor Company has appointed Sammy Omari, it’s executive director of ADAS technologies, as CEO of Latitude AI, and Peter Car as chief technology officer, supervising Latitude’s product and technological development. David Gollob will serve as president, with responsibility for business operations.
